Electronic Reporting International

The provisions of the Regulation on the providing of River Information Services on the Inland Waterways of the Republic of Bulgaria establish compliance with the Implementing Regulation (EU) 689 / 2012 and Regulation (EU) 909 / 2013.

Another key technology RIS services is electronic reporting - ERI. Through ERI strategic traffic information, traffic management, assistance to prevent emergencies, statistics, charges related to waterways and port fees, logistics is supplied to the relevant authorities.

BULRIS supports:
 - web based input of ERI for registered users;
 - interfaces to external applications for Electronic Reporting

These reports can be completed and sent to both the ​skipper and the brokerage firm.

The captains and crew must inform inspectors of the Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" of their intentions through an electronic report (ERI) or by radio-telephone connection on the announced channel for information and navigation by reporting the name, flag the ship, number of vessels, size and maximum draft of convoy, speed and direction of sailing and for the presence of dangerous goods - also the type, class and quantity before entering the area of a port and subject to the procedure laid down in Article 14, paragraphs 1 and 2.

The ERI system is accessible through Internet at the following address http://eri.bulris.bg and contains the following services and standards work:

  • International exchange of data across borders;

  • Web services R2D2;

  • ERINOT XML based ERINOT XSD, version 1.2g.

Access to an ERI portal is only for authorized users within the meaning of the Regulation on the provision of river information services on inland waterways of the Republic of Bulgaria.
